From the Barbary Coast of North Africa, this Tunisia Baklouti pepper is rare and unique to this region. Baklouti chili olive oil is made by combining one pound of organic extra virgin olive oil with 1.6 pounds of fresh early whole green Baklouti chilies. Baklouti adds a new and surprising dimension to salsas of all stripes. This is a very hot and spicy unique artisan product that has hundreds of applications.

Portabella Mushrooms


Ready for a fresh take on muchrooms? Try it with Green Chili Olive Oil and garlic cloves.


  • 4 large Portabella Mushrooms
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 8 Tablespoons Olive Basin Baklouti Green Chili Olive Oil
  • Seasons Roasted garlic sea salt, to taste


Clean mushrooms, place caps on a plate with the gills up. Pour 2 Tablespoons of chili oil and garlic slices evenly over the mushroom caps with gills up, add sea salt to taste. 
Grill over hot grill for 7 minutes. 
Serve immediately.
