It is fresh, green, and herbal. Basil and olive oil are two integral ingredients in Mediterranean cooking and it was just obvious to us that the two would be wonderful together. Try it on a summer salad or caprice and let your taste buds travel to the shores of the Mediterranean.

Featured Recipe: Caprese Salad
Caprese Salad at it's finest!
Slice mozzarella in to 1/4 inch slices. Slice tomatoes in to 1/2 inch slices. Arrange on a serving platter, alternating between the cheese and the tomato slices. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and basil oil. Pour over tomatoes and cheese. If using fresh basil, stack the leaves and slice them into thin strips. Sprinkle over tomato and cheese. Lightly sprinkle with salt and ground black pepper. Serve immediately.
If you have not tried this you must. This store is our go to when visiting friends that live outside of Philly. However we did not make the trip so I ordered on line! While not a fan of paying for shipping this got me what I wanted.
